Hard to say Donny...maybe they will.

I only know I'll be keeping my S900 till it's replacement comes out in a few years time...I've grown pretty fond of it and I'm comfortable with it's limitations.

Hi,
I go back to the i2/i3 days, so i haven't owned a korg in about 12 years.
I luv the PA800.

It's a great style structure, the styles can be as simple or complex as you want.
Then on top of that, THE PADS. They sync perfectly.

best wishes
Rikki

I was wondering... could anyone post an example of a 16 bar style loop to hear the difference? It's not necessary to play notes... just the style running.

Yeppp Dreamer, ...

a simple chord progression like Am - G - F Em7, will do the trick

or they can choose whatever they want

Hi Donny,
I have.
Amazing how it changes the style by adding a pad or 2 (or up to 4.)

I was so dissapointed with the way my psr1500 pads synced. My timing must have been off. On occasions, I'd hit the pad, the first bar the pad would be playing catchup & the next bar I wouldn't hear it, from then on it would sync perfectly.

Haven't managed to do that with the PA800 pads. ( thank goodness) No matter when I press it, syncs perfectly.

They were a big decider for me.

best wishes
Rikki

Rikki the pads are wonderful on the Pa800......you can mix and match 1-4,
Edit PAD parameters & save on the fly.
They work Soooooo well......the guitars strums & arps can be used as intros or you can even play along with just some of the pad combinations to give a nice Un-Plugged feel that is so sweet, especially the orchestral & percussion....Korg really did their homework on the PADS for sure easily ADDING 4 more parts to your styles.

I agree, Dreamer, perhaps DNJ, or IUD(Illustrious Uncle Dave) could post some examples...

Perhaps Donny could kill two birds with one stone and grace us with a little demo of his allegedly fabulous PA-800, AND the styles in question.

He's obviously well, and back in the saddle...er...on the bench(newly upholstered ).

That would be just SUPER KEEN!
