SAVING FOLDER NAMES Tyros & PSR3000
Having become a recent new owner of a PSR3000. I find the following useful.

There is a small problem with folders on the Tyros & PSR3000. There are 3 options when loading any files. Registrations...Styles...Songs...Voices When selecting any of these options all the folders show on the screen regardless what files they contain and can become confusing trying to find the files you require.
The answer lies in naming Folders with 3 letters which relate to the type of files each Folder holds,as follows.

Registration Folders with a prefix RGT Name.
Style Folders with prefix STY Name.
Song Folders with a prefix MID Name.
Voice Folder with a prefix VCE Name

Graham, you forgot: Multipads, Songs, and MusicFinder type files.

Your method is nearly identical to what I did. I created main directory folders with these names:

Midi Songs
Multi Pads
Music Finder
Song Regist
Song Styles
Styles
User Mem Backup
Voices

Of course the contents of each of these folders is only assessible when this main directory folder page is accessed from it's associated category (song, style, voice, multipad, regist) from the MAIN LCD page.
