hello! how can i use patches or sysex files with my midi-programms. i use cachewalk and voyetra and i want to use other sound than my sondcard includes. (how) can i do that?

Do you have a Korg X5?

yes! or i share one with a friend and cant use it always when i want to so i want to use the sounds separat....
(the sounds on my soundcard is so poor and then when i make midi-files with them they dont sync with my korg when i plug it in to my computer)

Now I understand your question. You can't do that. You cannot download patches and have them play on your soundcard, just like you can't download Roland and have it play on a KORG.

Your sound is coming from the X5, not the files that you downloaded. You have to load the sounds into the X5 and then play them Just having them in your pc doesn't give you any sound...the pc just stores the data until you upload them into the X5.
