Hello Everybody!
First of all, I canīt have access to a Tyros2 in Venezuela so, I must ask.
I wonder why there isnīt any comments on Tyros2 Piano: is it the same as Tyros original? By the way, the PSR3000 uses the same samples (for piano)?
And, are the basses and drums the same as Tyros original? I heard all demos and videos but those instruments doesnīt sound isolated enough to have my own opinion, so I hope you lucky owners can share your comments in this regard.
Thanks a lot in advance for your comments!
Best Regards
Jose Pereira

Hi Jose,

yes the Live Grand piano in the T2 is the same as in the Tyros1.
I don't know about the Psr3000 though.

Tyros2 has two new Power drum kits that are a noticable improvement over the T1 and the Psr3000. Played in styles they do sound more "live like".
I'm not sure about the basses.
However all styles have been reworked and sound much more "Live" to me.

I also feel that the T2 has much more presence than the T1 or 3000.

Hope this helps.

Eric

One thing I notice about this piano sample. It sounds different depending on what amplification and speakers are used.
I have several pairs of Powered speakers in here and each pair makes this piano sound different even with the same eq settings in the speaker amps.
I really like this piano better then most I have other then those in my sampler keyboard.

The T2's piano is pretty good on it's own, but stick it into the sound editor using a PC and alter some parameters and you can easily put more life into it
The sound editor for me is superb and easy to use, thanks Yamaha.

Thanks to all for quick responses!
I have a PSR3000 and I dislike the piano. Now my curiosity is that if PSR3000 piano is the same sample as original Tyros.
Anybody can tell me?
Thanks again and Good Luck!

Jose,

I don't know for sure, but I strongly suspect it is the same sample, however, it sounds a bit better on the T1 and T2 because of the higher polyphony and some slight differences in the keyboard's sound engines. I've heard all three, and to my ears they sound pretty darned good, particularly in the hands of a highly skilled player. Unfortunately, I'm not in that category.

Cheers,

Gary
