I want to change some tracks on a style (Reggae) on my PSR3000.
1) I select Style Creator
2) Select the channel
3) select the section
4) It asks me to delete the current trac (yes)
5) Then when I start recording the track volume is very low. I can go into mixing console and raise the volume, but this is still too low. I must be doing something wrong.

Hi Starkeeper,
try boosting velocity of the track after recording. Page 121 of manual.

best wishes

Thanks Rikki, I'll try that and advise. That's great that you now own a PSR1500. Another resource for questions.

I have encountered some some situations whereby the currently assigned DSP results in a low volume...

Just a guess.

Hi Starkeeper,
hopefully it solves your problem. If not , definately check what Michael has suggested could be your problem, he has far more experience withe the actual psr keyboards than I do.

You may be able to check the velocity level in the event list edit, and see if what you're recording via the keys is really low.
I noticed some of my old 3rd party psr styles had low velocity levels.

I'm having a ball with my little psr. I'm sorting thru all my old psr styles, most of which I never quite got round to tweaking for omb/soundfonts.
I'm not giving up on the soundfonts either, they're going to come in handy for playback of my midifile collection & BIAB software.

You must be totally engrossed in your new keyboard too, we haven't heard from you much of late haa haa.

best wishes
