Does anyone carry insurance on their equipment? How much does it cost and how much does it cover? Does homeowners insurance cover it if you are not a full-time musician?

Thanks

You betcha'
I have a policy that covers all my equipment at full, new, replacement value--not a depreciated value. It has a $100 deductable, per claim and covers all hazards, including some drunk dumping a pitcher of beer into the keyboards. I also carry liability insurance because the places I play require it. If you play for a living and do not have equipment and liability coverage, it's like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun.

Cheers,

Gary

How'd I mis this original thread? Hmmmm.

Thanks for the replies - I'll check with my agent to see what the story is.
