I miss hearing from some of the past longtime members. Whatever happened to Esh, John Smies, FreddyNL, Roel, and there was a very opinionated guy who had a 9000pro and he lived in the Dayton Ohio area. He was very anti Ketron. I don't remember his screen name. Does anyone know what happened to these guys?

I was just talking to Esh. He left because of all the stuff going on. There are a couple other forums he goes to now instead.

Jim Eshleman is around but mostly frequents other Forums from what I understand. I think Roel got ticked off at the bickering and quit because of it. John Smies was elderly wasn't he? He may have some health issues going on and not able to participate. There were several folks that frequented the Zone that had the PSR 9000PRO and I think the name of the one you may be referring to Tom was named Dennis if I'm not mistaken - and I probably am... mistaken that is.

It would be nice if all of them could stay and participate but things change, people change, circumstances change, and life goes on. For the ones that have left (many would say to greener pastures ) ->> at least perhaps some of the ones that left might have rationalized it that way - but they would be wrong in my opinion.

I wish them well as all of us do and hope they are okay and doing fine. And I also hope there are no continued hard feelings (if there were any) and that if the opportunity presents itself that they would stop by and say hello, and once again lend their voice of expertise to the ongoing discussions of arranger keyboards and other music related topics.

Best,
Mike

Tsk tsk, David...try and be nice...it's suppositional statements like this that cause trouble...even after you've shown everyone your little winky.

Be part of the solution, not the problem, buddy...then maybe some of these nice people will return.

Ian

Hello Tom, How are you doing ?

I am still here, but I don't use an arranger since years so there's not much I can add to the various topics about a particular model arranger.

I prefer playing in the band situation.

For compositions I decided to go the software route, allthough not much time available yet.

Weeelllll...

I've never written a negative word about Ketron, perhaps I am opinionated and I do live near Dayton...

I have shared my disfavor with several thing Korg, in the past for sure...

Maybe you're getting 2 of us mixed together, perhaps?

I must be somewhat thick Donny. I really don't understand what you are trying to say. I never once thought any of the replies were from fake returnies(whatever a fake returnie is).

Let's just let this one ride ok? I don't want any enlightenment on this one.

How funny! Donny, I would think you would be the one here who would understand why some would just prefer to bite their lips and not say what they REALLY feel.

What possible good would come of negative comments about performance style, personality, musicianship, equipment, MP-3's, kinds of jobs played, kinds of music, careers...whatever?

Believe me, if everyone here said what they really feel, the result would not be pretty.
Some would get pretty bent out of shape, and that would do no good on any level.

Like the song says, sometimes, "you say it best when you say nothing at all...".

Almost always, the really vocal critics end up looking like the jerks.
