I used the KP100S over the weekend at my church . This amp is beautiful ! I was really impressed with the stereo effect and overall sound quailty !

Great to hear that the smaller KP100S worked out well for your church gig. Was there sufficient volume and bass output to cover the entire room (church sanctuary)?

How large was the room, how many people were in the audience, what style of music did you perform: traditional hymns, acoustic pop, christian rock, or?, and how did you set up & position the KP100S?

Dan, realizing the KP200S I'm sure sounds better (especially the bass, right?) and provides more volume output, but that the KP100S is considerably lighter (38 lbs vs 55 lbs) and significantly smaller, and that you've had the opportunity to audition BOTH units, which one is YOUR personal choice for one man band gigging? - Scott

The sanctuary is a decent size . If I had to guess .... 4,000 sq ft . We had 50 people show up ! Which was 49 more than expected ( I knew my Mom was coming) . The Amp was great and enough bass as well .

How did I use my SD1 ??

#1. Lord I lift your name on high .
I used a style called "folksinger" for this song . It's perfect !
#2. We will praise the name . Midi sequence #3.Give Thanks . straight piano
#4. Amazing Grace in a 4/4 tempo . It surprised me to use a style called "urban" for this hymm .
#5. Spirit Song . My personal favorite . I used 16 beat 1 on the SD1 .

I have a pair of Peavy KN100's that are big and heavy. The only time they are used is if a condition of doing a gig includes someone to do the roadie work. It is very difficult to load them in the basement of the motorhome so I take a smaller pair of JVC amps.
I am thinking perhaps just one KBS could replace that pair of peavys and the pair of jvc's. I wonder if the KBS200 might not be a better choice. I often play for a street dance in the RV park in the beach town that we spend a lot of time at. The Peavys work well for that so shouldn't the KBS200's also.
My other gigs now are just in the clubhouse for partys and dances. This is just done as a favor, good of the order. I have no interest at my age of doing anymore gigging.
I also note the KBS has two handles for two people and the peavy only has one handle on top and is very heavy and awkward.
It is really inspiring to think about replacing two amps with just one
My main Axes are the KN6000 and PSR9000
What say you guys?

If you get a chance, check out the Peavey Escort. It is self-contained, stereo, has mixer, speakers, mic, stands and cable included. It takes very little space and has rollers. It should handle anything you are doing, though the street dance thing might be stretching it a little.
