Hello! From what I've been reading here this site is in England right?

I lived there in Wolverhampton 'til I was 9.

Now I live in B.C., Canada.

If anyone owns a PSR 8000 Yamaha keyboard or an MRS 1608CD Zoom Multitrack recorder there are a couple of questions I would like to ask you...

Anyone?

I owned a PSR8000 a few years ago. Maybe I can remember enough to help.

re;PSR8000....

When I try to make a custom "loop" ( say a simple 2 bar repeating loop for use in a Blues song), I play in the bass line and when it plays back a lot of times it's in another key or it doesn't sound the same as what I play.

In the manual (mine is page 71) it goes on about Part/Source Root/ Source Chord and says when ever preset data is deleted it defaults to Cmajor7th.

Well...I'm not the brightest crayon in the box and this section of the manual is over my head. I do have good reading interpretation skills (94 percentile ranking)but....they've got me baffled.

basically all I want to know is ....

What do you have to do to play in a bass line and get it to play back the way you enetred it?

I sort of understand about Source Chords presented in the book to choose from.

I realize that if I was creating a Cminor loop it wouldn't do to pick a Cmajor to work with.

farther down in the section it gets into transposition rules, note limits and retrigger rule.....all greek to me.

But then...a lot of times I read these techie manuals and they make it out to be 10 times worse than it actually is.

But they've got me stumped as we speak...

Any ideas?
