A friend of mine is willing to sell me his set of Tyros TRS-MS01 speakers.
While the speakers will no doubt sound way better than my built-in PSR2000 speakers, I wonder if it is at all possible to connect those speakers to the PSR2k?

So before I travel the 300 miles to get the TRS set, would anyone know if it is possible to connect the set and if yes, if any specific cabling is required (apart from the connectors included with the TRS).

Thanks for any hint!

Georges

Georges: Sorry, but the Tyros (TRS-M01) speaker system will not work on the PSR2000 because the TRS-M01 (2 satellites & a sub woofer) require not only two separate R/L audio outs at each end of the keyboard for the satellites, but also 2 specialized output jacks (din plug & 1/4") dedicated to the subwoofer which the PSR2000 does NOT include. It's also important to note that the Tyros Satellite speakers cannot be operated without the sub woofer.

For improved external sound on your PSR2000, I recommend you consider Altec Lansing speakers (or other quality non keyboard specific powered monitor speakers) instead.

Thanks for your quick reply, Scott. Although it is a pity that this setup will not work, at least it saves me the long trip tomorrow :-)

All the best,

Georges
