With Tyros1, the mounting and removal of the speaker brackets were always a pain. Because of ugliness of the protruding brackets & round speaker holder unit remaining more or less permanantly attached to the keyboard, I opted to instead forget using the TRS-M01's altogether. Apprently Yamaha has listened to our complaints, and on Tyros2, allows you now to a quickly & easily remove the speaker brackets, without the pain & both of removing 8 screws, as Tryros1 requires. Here's a pic of how the new brackets slip on to the back of Tyros2:

QUESTION: Will I be able to just buy new brackets, and use my old speakers?

Because the satellite & subwoofer speaker output sockets on the back of Tyros2 look (at least to my eyes) to be the same as on Tyros1, I would expect this to be the case, but I suppose we'll have to wait to hear back from Yamaha on this. - Scott
