Yesterday Gary Diamond drove in from Baltimore and Fran Carango came in from Philadelphia to have lunch with me and Uncle Dave..
"Meeting of the Keyboard Minds"
We all met at a great Irish Pub for lunch and had a wonderfull time talking shop and had many many laughs. Later that evening Gary & Fran went to see Dave perform at a nice local Restaurant and then afterwards they came to my Dance Club a few miles south to see me perform. It was so nice to have my friends there in the audience.
Next time I wanna get Gary Leading a Conga Line also
All in All we had a great time together.I was using the PSR2000 last night on stage and it really shines. I urge everyone here on the SZ to try to get together with other SZ musicians if possible, you won't regret the experience I'm Sure!!!

Diet? I don't need no stinking diet! I had to go off the Atkins program because of other health problems. Dave stuck right to the program, cosumed all the protien stuff, while the other Three Musketeers wolfed down the high fat, high cholesteral, high carb things on the menu. I did, however, supply some smoked salmon that I prepared a few days earlier for appetizers, which is also on the diet. We had a great day and evening, listened to a pair of excellent entertainers, and the only tough part for me was the 3-hour drive home. I hit the sheets about 1:30 a.m..

We'll probably do it again, but it's kinda' scary when four guys like us get together, then all the lights go out from NYC to the midwest and up to Canada. Maybe someone up there is trying to tell us something. NAH!

With that much talent gathered together in one place it is no wonder that the power grid failed in NY. You were drawing all their power. I too enjoy meeting the other members of the forum. I consider you all my friends. We should have a convention.

That it! A convention in Vegas! NAH--she'll never go for that one unless I take her along. Then the convention will end up with a week of drinking, gambling, dancing, and all the other things we shoulda' been doing for the past half century.

OK, I'll see if she'll let me go.

Shreveport has everything Vegas has, but it's in the middle of the country and everything costs less. And you'll have me for a host!
Vegas has no Crawfish.

How about the 1st annual SZ Florida Cruise!! We all fly down to Ft. Lauderdale in May 2004 and set sail to the Caribbean!

Talk about crashing your diet.

Yeh!! Let's do it. And I think we should invite Blinkers so we can all hug and make up. I'll donate $100 for crawfish and beer if it's in Shreveport. Off course I'm close enough to drive to Vegas so is Scott.

I'll kick in another $100 if we do it in Bossier City--haven't been there is years, but when I was there in 1963 it was a wild town. OH YEAH!

I think we should make it for Winter NAMM 2004. That way we could kill two birds with one stone. You know, meet all our SZ compadres and check out all the latest gear too! George Kaye will have to supply the guest tickets for all of us "non-compliant" personnel though. There's gotta to be other ways to get guest passes too, I would think.

Don Mason's idea isn't so bad either. Let's see; Oh yes,
1. 7 Minute Boiled Crawfish
2. Boiled Crawfish
3. Boiled Crawfish -- Justin Wilson
4. Brett Favre's Crawfish Etoufee
5. Bucket Of Grilled Crawfish(Gr)
6. Christmas Crawfish Stuffing
7. Crawfish Aubergine
8. Crawfish Canape
9. Crawfish Etouffee Ii
10. Crawfish Etouffee Supreme
11. Crawfish Etouffee Supreme2
12. Crawfish Etouffee/McIlhenny
13. Crawfish Fettucine or Monica
14. Crawfish Fritters
15. Crawfish Kowalski
16. Crawfish Mashed Potatoes
17. Crawfish Monsigneur
18. Crawfish Mousse
19. Crawfish Of Shrimp Etouffee
20. Crawfish Pie
21. Crawfish Pies
22. Crawfish Potato Boats
23. Crawfish Rixie
24. Crawfish Zombie Bread
25. Crawfish and Egg Salad
26. Crawfish and Pasta
27. Crawfish au Gratin
28. Crawfish-Tasso Saute
29. Drunken Crawfish Pie
30. Ecrevisse(Crawfish) Strudel With Two Sauces
31. Franks Place(Crawfish 'etouff'ee)
32. Fried Crawfish Tails
33. Gabrielle's Crawfish Enchiladas
34. Henderson Boiled Crawfish
35. Joy's Crawfish Dip
36. Justin Wilson's Boiled Crawfish
37. Louisiana Crawfish Quiche
38. Mini Crawfish Pies
39. Patout's Boiled Crawfish
40. Sauteed Crawfish in Tomatoes W/dill/honey
41. Sister Sarah's Magic Crawfish
42. Soaked Boiled Crawfish
43. Stuffed Crawfish Beignets
44. Stuffed Soft-Shell Crawfish
45. Waldine's Crawfish Corn Maquechoux

Need I say more? Tell you what, we could make it for Summer NAMM 2004 in Nashville then all head down to Don's for dinner.

Nah! Too far! They must have a Cajun restaurant or two in Nashville that serves Crawfish. Come to think of it they probably have even more Cajun restaurants in the Anaheim, Los Angeles area. Plus Disneyland is right down the street. Back to plan A I reckon... No offense Don. If you haven't been to Disneyland in a while they really have added a lot of new attractions Don. Bring the misses too. And the kids too if you want!

I guess you can see i'm trying to dig myself out of the hole I got myself into... Any how; I think whatever we settle on is fine with me just as long as we schedule it with plenty of time in advance so as we can all free up our calendars and set aside the time and resources for it.

Best regards,
Mike

The beautiful scenic Monterey Bay Area sounds great to me, but I think the exciting 'convention oriented' city of Las Vegas with it's action packed excitement might be a better option, because it's a lot easier to get to from all points (international airport) as well as a lot more affordable (great group discount room rates available). My vote goes to Las Vegas as the place to hold the first official Synthzone Arranger KB Convention. - Scott

"Because overall calorie reduction is the only factor that counts in the long term. Scientists can argue about what causes you to lose weight fastest and what will make you feel least hungry in the meatime, and all sorts of seemngly relevant issues, but these are mostly beside the point.

The best diet for you is the one you like well enough to stick with. This differs from person to person. That's why the experts will always disagree on dieting.

No diet will take pounds off unless you comsume fewer calories than you need to maintain your weight. And any diet will work for that purpose as long as you eat less for long enough. The science of this fact is undeniable, no matter whom you consult. (Note: Many diets are unsafe. Always consult your doctor before going on a diet.)" - from Marilyn Vos Savant's newspaper column, 8 17/03

I think Las Vegas is good enough.

So everybody checks in in the morning, meet up in the buffet area around noon. Then go to the meeting room for workshops. (Scott on chord progressions from 1:00PM-2:00PM, Terry on Tyros 2:30-3:30PM, UD, Don..and other master musicians can claim your slots also.

At night we'll have the jam session between members.

This good 'nuff??

(heck I'm playful mode today )
