This is what I heard from Jerry solton club.
Has any one experienced it ? I was so busy w/ my daily work. Anyway I got to do it tonight. Yeah, X1 is simply the best for my buck. I have to wait to see the next line of SD-? . Otherwise X1 is not much aged from SD1

I just thought I would let everyone know that last night I installed the new
OS 4.0 in my X1.

I can't believe the improvement! The sounds and the manner in which the
keyboard operates is incredible.

First the new OS recognizes GM files in DD as well as HD format. Midi sounds
much better also!

Somehow the quality of the instrumentation has improved in live playing.

All I can say is - Thank you Solton!

DANNY THATS GREAT NEWS!!

It funny how Solton seems to be in touch with their users regarding new upgradings with the OS on the X1 and SD1, and implementing rootless chord recognition. They are definitly listening to suggestions from people.But what bewilders me is WHY is it so hard for people to find Solton dealers especially in Big US cities. It seems lobsided....great KB/upgrades/company-customer awareness/....then they make it so hard to buy a unit or try one out. What gives?

I have sold many SD1's in 2 months . I didn't even have one on my floor until May 28th . One day GC may wake up and have this keyboard in other markets . If you get in with GC you can have instant market share . GC now has over 94 stores . I am still the only GC to have SD1's in stock ! Dan O
PS....This SD1 keyboard is unique ....Now it seems the OS for X1 (4.0) upgrade is a benefit to X1 owners . Excellent ! Yes....Ketron is listening !
