I recently picked up a pair of Celestion Ditton 110 bookshelf speakers (8 ohms, 70 watts each) and I'd like to use them as monitors on my computer.

Do you think they'd be suitable for this purpose? And how would I go about connecting them to the output jack on the computer, given that they have the standard two-wire cables coming from the back of them?

Unless the speakers are self-powered, you'll need an amplifier of some sort between the PC outputs and the speakers.
