Some guy with enough time on his hands "experimented" with his Korg Oasys and discovered that he can load a LINUX-like operating system, or Windows PE.

Aapparently the Korg is not only PC based, but actually a PC with an off-the-shelf motherboard, complete with VGA port, serial port, etc etc

Theoretically someone with the expertise could write programs for the OASYS, giving it more functionality

well, never thought of that...actually it is some attempt at hymour meaning it contains a $400 PC:-)

the good news would be that someone might be knowledgeable enough to write additional programs for it, adding functionality.

in the forum the link points to, they say it probably has an ethernet port. How convenient would that be if your Oasys was integrated in the studio computer for example??
