Not sure what type of keyboard player you are looking for but here is some info on some progressive rock players.
http://yescography.tripod.com/home.htm

This will take you to a site about the band Yes. Check out links to Rick Wakeman, Patrick Moraz, Geoff Downes - these links lead to lots of other famous keyboard players of the 70s. Also a web search for Nick Mason will give you a great deal on this great Pink Floyd keyboard player.

Actually Don, I can use you if I choose I was planning on mentioning Scott Yee. He has a really good education in music and would be a good example of great keyboard player.

Excellent, Mike. We really don't have a magazine that features arrangers. GB has a few mags that do a better job of featuring the boards, but the USA still thinks we're playing with toys. I'm a charter member of Keyboard and have ALL the issuses. But, I would switch subscriptions in a minute if we could do something like your idea. (would have to change the name, obviously).

Thanks

Thanks Uncle Dave (Cassp and Starkeeper too),

After reading Cassp's post, I tried swapping out the title Keyboard and replace it with Arranger but I couldn't find anything that looked authentic.

KEYBOARD magazine has a review of the Yamaha PSR3000 in the December (current) 2004 issue. Look for Alicia Keys on the cover.

Squeak..

I've mentioned it before, and it's a book, not web accessible, but "Reading Jazz" by Robert Gottlieb is booked as "a gathering of autobiography, reportage and criticism". It contains information on most old school players, all the way back to Jelly Roll Morton, Willy "The Lion" Smith, Mary Lou Williams and many others. It's the best read on jazz and jazz piano players I've ever found.

Hope that helps.

Russ
