Recent discussions of the PSR510, sent me to the store room in search of some styles I offered to Nobby.
I found my Alesis Datadisk. It is a disk drive unit that stores digital information in it's own format. There is a computer program to convert ADD info to DOS and vice-versa.
I used this unit to hold midi dumps from the 510, and also sequences. It will record sequences and play them back through midi, and you can have many styles ready for use in seconds.
If anybody wants it I'll sell it for $100., including power supply and the computer program. It was about $400. new.
It's a handy portable unit for midi keyboards that don't have disk drives.

Hi DonM.
I would love to have the Datadisk, it sounds
well worth the money! But I'm trying to get togather all the bucks I can afford to buy me a new board this fall.
Do you have a manual for the Alesis Datadisk?
Do you still have your 510?
I put a posting below for "You & Charlie," did you see it?
All the best,
Nobby

I sold my 510 to a friend a few years ago.
About once a year he calls me to reload his pages from the Datadisk, because he has lost the memory. But he's to cheap to buy the DD. But then again, why should he as long as I have it for him to use.
