I would like to present another Vocal piece to the Group. As the subject header says it all; this is "On The Road Again" by Willie Nelson of course. I used a Midi with me singing and a little harmony back up. I muted the Melody track - (as we hear Dave Boyd in the background shouting HALLELUJAH!!) I hope you all enjoy it.

Here is:

On The Road Again

Merry Christmas!
Best regards,
Mike

I enjoyed it. Love the song. It's from one of my favorite movies, Honeysuckle Rose.

Mike,
Decent vocals on the piece. I hate all you guys who can sing much better than me.

Hey Mike,

Nice job! And Merry Christmas to you!

Terry, would you ever consider doing a cover? I found a nice sounding midi file last night that I plan on adding the lyrics to. I immediately thought of you singing it. Would love to hear you and the Tyros (or even the Motif) doing this song.

Mike,
Great job and nice vocals. I like what you did with the harmony close to the beginning of the song. Instead of being in the background, they are up front.

Hi Mike, very nice vocal performance, along with midi file sequence playback. I assume the midi file sequence triggered the chords sent to your Tyros built in vocal harmonizer, which in turn triggered the backup harmonies, as you sang the lead part, right? Backup harmonies sound nice, especially for a built into a keyboard harmonizer.

ALSO, was the "On the Road" midi file, as well as the many impressive Tyros Christmas song midi files you shared with us earlier, all commercially produced, or were they created from scratch by you? If commercially produced, what midi file company can be given credit for producing these midi files?

Thanks again for sharing and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2004.

Scott

Hi Scott,

"On The Road Again" is a commercially produced Midi File but the Christmas Midi's were Public License available GM/XG files. I tuned one of the zips - A Tyros Christmas -with optimal Tyros Voices.

Styles & Music is the company that made On The Road Again. Also, I agree Scott that the Tyros Harmonizer is very good for an onboard. It would be very interesting to hear how good the Pa1X PRO's Harmonizer is compared to the Tyros's.

Best regards,
Mike
