Hi
I have just downloadet the song from BearShare. It is not Craig but Tommy Emanuel & Chet Atkins playing. Shame on you Craig.
You can download it here at Http://www.solomusikeren.dk/Saltwater.mp3

Thank you. That's all I'm going to say. I've rewritten this message 4 times already. So again, thank you.

Well, I guess it shows you two things - how gullible we all are (or at least trusting!) here at Synthzone, and it confirms my already abysmal opinion of Craig_UK.

I thought he had straightened out after the personal attacks episode, but I guess some folk are just born morons.

Nigel, if this don't get him banned, this is the last you'll see of me, or anyone I can relate this debacle to....... You have to have honor and trust at sites like this, or we might all just as well recount our touring days with the Rolling Stones.........

And FAEbGBD, it's me who is eating the crow, but it's Craig who is the horse's ass.

The words tosser and wanker are definitely appropriate. Nigel, feel free to ban me for this. Plagiarism, the last resort of the poor player........

(and he had the nerve to get upset about SMF's..... rolfmao)

Tommy Emanuel and Chet Atkins recorded a CD together in 1996 " The Day Finger Pickers Took Over" and one of the tunes is "Saltwater" played by Craig, ups sorry played by Tommy & Chet.

I have made an comparison of the 2 files in Wavelab. They are 100% identical and you know that. I feel sorry for you.

Have a listen

1. Tommy Emanuel & Chet Atkins http://www.solomusikeren.dk/Saltwater.mp3
2. Craig_MrT2 http://www.solomusikeren.dk/Craig_5.mp3

I did an very accurate comparission in Cubase SX and the files Niels writes about are EXACT copies of instruments. No other notes at all. Only the lenght is slightly different (few seconds) After time-stretching simultanious listening in SX.

Still I cannot believe Craig states it's his !

I'v had the two tracks playing simultaneously, the tracks are 99% note for note exact except for slight time drift...what is a give away is that even the original guitarists would not be able to perform this piece exactly the same twice, to recreate every nuance of a live guitar performance and match it 'note for note' from a recording is nigh on impposible on a guitar let alone a keyboard....

My verdict....FAKE

Trying to conterfeit a song on this forum is a lot like trying to conterfeit Money in front of FBI agents.

I think it's a little sad quite honestly, ego can sure get in the way of common sense.

trident... while my comment was meant to be 'tongue in cheek', at least we weren't questioning people's honesty and integrity ...

I agree they are the same recordings. This a chapter we need to finally close and not look back on.
