Now there's is a revolutionary new CD audio format called SACD (Super Audio CD) released by Sony which surpasses regular CD sound quality TREMENDOUSLY! HOW? 64 times greater sampling rate than regular CDs which results in vastly increased (smoother) resolution. I am so impressed with how much better SACDs sound (far better detail & clarity, wider dynamic range & overall smoothess (warmth), that I broke down and purchased a SACD player.
