Can any dedicated muso give me a (sort of) unbiased opinion of which is a better keyboard, Roland G70 or KorgPA1X ? I know there are several ways to rate a keyboard, and opinions can differ for a number of reasons. I accept that a Roland fan may defend the G70 because of his/her familiarity with Roland, and vice versa, but I am prepared to accept that a different make of keyboard for one application may be better than one of my usual manufacturer, for instance (I am a Korg arranger man and a Roland -X6- synth man, but accept that maybe a different manufacturer can come up with a better board sometimes.

I just get confused when I read negative reviews about the G70 for instance, when I was prepared to accept that maybe Roland had this time outdone the Korg PA1X.

To top it all, I have just read a review about the Ketron Midjay that puts the cat really among the pigeons !!! (Yes I know it does some of the same things and doesn't in some other areas, but it does seem the business !!)

Perhaps someone out there will give me their 2pennyworth so I can use some decent factors to judge which of these boards is really the business.

And just to play devil's advocate, is there any other keyboard out there that will seriously rival any of those three? :-)))

Thanks to everyone out there who takes an interest.

Take care and best regards to everyone,

1stripey.

This has been done to death mate! All i can say in a very few words is that for sound quality and contemporary arrangements the Korg simply cannot be beaten. If you get a chance demo the korg and see how you feel about it but i can honestly say that when i first heard it literally shivers went up and down my spine.....

I have demoed the G70 also at least twice. Do the searches on here and you can seemy honest comments.I have no axe to grind and love all arranger keyboards
