Hi Steve,

I'd remembered you advising me a few weeks earlier (during one of our telephone conversations) that though you would regularly monitor our arranger forum, that you weren't willing to actively post here. I'm ELATED to see that you obviously had a 'change of heart'. I'm also excited to hear that the Tyros OS is 16mg, not 40 mg, and that updating the OS (by the end user) is not risky as originally reported.

Both Yamaha Tyros and my home team San Francisco Giants RULE TONIGHT (16-4)!

Although I don't claim to speak for Steve D.

I don't think we should all get too excited or expect Steve to be posting in regularly here. I think he joined in just to provide us with breaking news and the o/s system hot button topic clarification. It would be nice and appreciated to have his presence here regularly....I wouldn't count on it though.

I acknowledge & agree that Terry's probably correct as well, but it's still great to see Steve Deming take the lead on behalf of Yamaha USA Corp to become the FIRST arranger keyboard manufacterer representative to officially post on our forum. This is truly historic ! I have yet to see any other high level official from other arranger keyboard manufacters posting here, or even acknowledging that they regularly monitor our forum as Mr. Deming does. Korg, Roland, Technics, and GEM, are you listening?

This is just one more reason why I am so happy with my new PSR9000 I recently purchased. I have had good response from Yamaha helping me with my learning curve on this new type of OS, that is very different from those I was used to.
Thanks Yamaha

Steve Deming has been a friend and a big help to me when I need him at Yamaha for many years. We speak often about some of the posts we both read on this forum. I am glad he is taking an active roll on this forum. I also would like to remind many of you that Chris Anthony who programs and helps design Generalmusic products and software has on occasion also posted on both this forum and on the Generalmusic synthzone forum.
