Frank,

Good luck with your hip replacement. I know quite a few people that have it done. I've never talked to anyone who has had it that hasn't said they are now great and pain free. This will give you more time to work on the FLR 2006 software arranger.

Tom

I missed many of your kind comments and thank you for them. Here is the status of me and my love ones:

I have just been told I will need to have my other hip replaced and am on the waiting list. Just don't like it...oh well.

My wife's cancer has not been cured but it has been stalled. To me that is very good news.

My best friend "Mr Dog" died recently and I miss him terribly. We have a new dog from the shelter. It helps somewhat. He needs a great deal of training.

So as you can see things are looking a whole lot brighter but the last 2 years have been awfully black and depressing. It is a real challenge to keep going but I guess you play with the cards you got. It is a humbling experience to be sick for so long and it is even more humbling when everyone in the same household is sick for so long. These were indeed some of my darkest days of my life.

Again thanks to all of you for your kind and thoughtful comments.

Frank,I have a Swiss friend who had hip replacement a little before thanksgiving and he's overseas climbing the Alps now.

You'll feel so much better!

We're all thinking about you!

Frank, hope the surgery goes perfect for you.

I'm sure you'll be the bionic man in a few months.

Best of luck
Al

Hi Frank,

Hope your surgery went well. I had a hip replacement on April 7th,got out of the hospital on the 10th. I've had several PT session and am good to go, no walker, canes, or crutches.

The only thing required is care to not to dislocate the new hip. It will take a while to get the muscles back in shape.

Good Luck - short term pain for long term gain!

Hi Frank ,
that's good news about your wife.
So sorry to hear that you need your other hip done as well, and it's awful when you
lose a longtime family pet.

When my little world nearly fell apart a couple of years ago, with hubby's illness & the loss of all 3 of my longtime pets, you & AJ managed to take my mind off my woes by giving me something interesting & new to think & learn about. You got me involved in the world of softsynths & computers.
I think one needs something to keep their minds off their woes.

thank you
best wishes
Rikki
