Today........I am a cowboy.
I have a country show at a local senior spot and I am using my new Crate "Limo" ! A battery powered, three channel combo amp, with digital reverb and channel switching! All in the huge package of 22 lbs !

I'll be using my acoustic/electric guitar so I will not even need to plug into the wall. I bought this setup for just this kind of gig, and today is it's second trial run. The first one was a huge success - I used it as a PA only for a short MD/Vocal thing last week. Today will be the first day on the job where I will push it a little.

I can't see the battery powered aspect providing much help for keyboard players, but if you play acoutic instruments (even piano) at nursing homes or senior centers - this little bear is a major player! The vocal sound is great and the effects are too!

I'll let you all (sorry..... Y'ALL) know how it went. Yee Ha! Watch out Don Mason -
I'm a comin' into yer territory!

(actually, I've played in many C&W bands - just last year I was filling in with a 10 piece band and we played a cruise with Charlie Pride & Michelle Wright, what a gas!)

Howdee partner.
We did two nursing home shows yesterday, and I immediately see the need to downsize even more. I'm going to check out the Peavey Escort again.
I feel the rig you're using wouldn't be big enough because we often have up to 100 people there, plus we have to plug in two keyboards, fiddle, two mics, etc.
Don

The Escort is really pretty cool. It's heavy when it's all packed up, but everything is there in that one package, and it IS on wheels.

For all you guitarists........ You WANT this.
Trust me - it's so handy, and sounds really great. It's a wedge shape too, so you can use it as a monitor with no feedback! What a great find...... check it out!
