As an active member here for nearly five years now, I've had the privilege of getting to know many of you personally, both from reading your informative (and often humourous) prose, both internet & telephone chat, and even meeting some of you in person. For me though, the most SATISFYING connection (musically speaking) is having the opportunity to listening to your music. Hearing music produced by fellow members is like a window to one's soul, no matter WHAT music level one's currently at.

There are still MANY regularly contributing members here (both amatuer & pro) I'd love to hear music from, so I'm hoping this post encourages YOU (you guys know who you are so I won't mention names) to FINALLY come forward and share your music with us.

In addition there are a number of members who've posted their songs in the past, but who we haven't heard any NEW song material from in quite a while. It would be terrific to hear some new songs from them as well. I view music artistry & musicianship as a continous life's journey. I always enjoy the experience of hearing how my fellow musician's music grows and evolves.

Scott

Tony, bravo! Great music. Nice songwriting, arrangements and terrific keyboard playing. Very LIVE sounding. Your music showcases the fact that Yamaha sounds & styles are versatile & can really rock. Were your songs all recorded in arranger auto accompaniment mode or?

Especially enjoyed your newest song "From Stars".

Thanks for sharing. - Scott

After all this time I finally got to put a song that I wrote about a year ago up on soundclick. Feeling brave everyone? Okay then, it's your choice . . .

I havn't updated my MP3s in quite some time, however, I posted a midi file made with the SR-3000 at http://www.svpworld.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4053&PN=1 using the quick record mode. Because it uses megavoices, it will only play correctly in 3000 or Tyros. I was hoping to add some tracks, but have not had time to do this since posting. Maybe later tonight.

Oh, that one brings back some memories from playing on USAF bases in Greece and Turkey over 30 years ago. Very nice job too, Gary.

Kinda put me in a 'country' frame of mind, so I put up another of my compositions on soundclick for your listening pleasure (or otherwise :-) )

Hi Scott
Although not very satisfied with the result I let you hear what has become of One Day I'll Fly Away (Mp3PRO). I used this song to discover the PSR3000: recorded multipads, played around with the variations and voices, changed OTS, found even some problems with the onboard sequencer you might have read about on the forum, etc.
But most of all: had to learn to push the buttons at the right time. With one variation change I really need a footswitch (I haven't got one yet) because I had to change chords, play another key and press a button at the same time. Using my nose (as my daughter suggested) is not an option So I play it differently to overcome that problem.
I am not very satisfied with the Bass - it's very dull, so maybe I'll erase the bass entirely from the song and play it myself (or do some editing): another quest on the PSR3K.

I took the chords from the Randy Crawford version and used the Style that is in the
Music Finder database.
You'll find the song here .
I recorded it with the onboard sequencer while playing. There was one mistake in the melody which I corrected by editing.
