Last night got to meet Bill (SemiLiveMusic) we had a very enjoyable evening at one of the local casino with one of my favorite entertainers Billy Ledbetter. After the show I tried to get back home to Bossier city which is just across the river from Shreveport but we had a small amount of drizzle and freezing temperatures about 30 degrees. All the bridges were closed waiting for sand trucks which were not prepared, so I was stranded in the town of Hooter Ville (Shreveport) for hours I hope Bill didn’t suffer the same faith.

Don has been working on the Midjay and hopefully he will be able to help me with some of the technical problems that I will encounter with the setup I plan to use. My style of playing consist of right hand cords and left hand bass I cannot play left hand cords so a 25 note controller will work for me. Sam Ash has a large controller keyboard case (http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemID=32119&TempID=5&departmentid=0)
will permit me to keep all my cords hooked to the controller and Midjay and just set the case on an X stand remove the top and be ready to go. I also have a Nord keyboard I use for playing with bands so if needed for lead work I could carry both which by the way is still lighter and easier to setup than most keyboards.

I used the Nord and one Barbetta 31 at a local nightclub with a band Saturday night and could not believe the great comments I had on the sound it was truly amazing. Not only a great sound but I carried everything out at one time less than fifty pounds combined.

Hank,
I told Semi that you would be there. I had really planned to go, but I have BETTER SENSE than to go out in an ice storm.
I was home sitting by the fireplace. When the ice melts, come on out--I'll have the coffee on.

If I did come out I'd bring my own coffee

I'm working on my third cup right now, temperature outside is up to 26 degrees--regular darned heat-wave!

Cheers,

Gary

Hank, if I had waited one minute longer to leave, I'd still be there. They were closing roads like crazy as I drove home. I saw several wrecks and it was darn sure dangerous. Freezing drizzle. Yuck.

Very much enjoyed visiting with you.

You can't play chords with left hand? That's about all I can do! You can play bass with left hand? I can't. And Don is a master with those right hand runs. Hey, we could tag team it, a trio on one bench. Do you bathe regularly in Bossier City? That might get rather cozy.

All coffee drinkers should try Sam's Club's Member's Mark brand coffee. It says Arabica on the can.

Quit yer whining, up here in Michigan we don't let a little ice on the roads bother us, it just goes with the territory. Rather than a hinderence we view it as a challange. It does make it harder to get to the golf course though.
