Its interesting that the new release keyboards from Roland, on thier associated web pages have no demo sounds, backings etc. Do the people at Roland believe that they will sell without the ability for muso's to get an idea as to how they shape up. A bit mystified as to why nothing is there, i mean lets face it, they have had plenty of time, and how hard would it be anyway, is this just an oversite, or do they not stack up to other boards out there at the moment???

noone has been able to fathom rolands marketing strategy on the arranger keyboards. They ha/ve deliberately restricted the sources of distribution, released their top end arranger with clearly substandard quality control (initial G70 release operatin system, yes i mentioned it again but its relevent!)I believe George Kaye had a rep from Roland in a few weeks ago and even he did not apparently know about the impending release of the new series of arrangers. Ralph schrink, probably rolands best keyboard demonstrator ( and in my book one of the finest anywhere) has been doing demos of the G70 and workshops for owners for almost a year now, but can you find a demo online or on CD or anything ? Roland need someone in marketing that actually knows something about sales.

If the E80 will sound even better than the
G70 it must be a topinstrument. I think we
have to wait a few weeks and than it will be
there.

The E80 may and I hope sound better than a G70 but I don't think the E80 is going to be a G70 replacement. It only has 61 notes for a start so maybe there is going to be a 76 note in the E range coming later?
Also why a change to E and not make it a G80 instead? I'm sure all the Roland people on here will let me know

E series and EM series have always been speaker models..the E80 will be to the G70 as the EM2000 was to the G1000..

AS for a E80 demo, I think the G70 demo will do..

EM-2000 had the same sounds and features of G-1000, but E-80 has more and better sounds than G-70 and improvements in number of effects.

G-70 demo cannot show the improvements that E-80 has, so we must wait for an actual E-80 demo.

I expect to be able to post sound demos from the E-80 in May 2006. Demos will be available at the Roland G-70 User Club Denmark website. So stay tuned for that, if you don't get your hands on E-80 sound demos in the meantime...
