I have a mint 1994 Honda Accord Type R, 4-door sedan... automatic with shift kit, alloys, all the toys.
Goes like stink, great on gas, heavy duty suspension helps with the weight of my gear.

I drive a "mint" 1993 Lincoln Town Car "Jack Nicklaus Signature Series". She's beautiful... The color is Mocha Frost Pearl, with a "dark chocolate" carriage top. Ahhhh my baby. The other car is a Ford Taurus--both wife and I drive that one. She won't even touch the Lincoln. Says it's way too big for her. Squeak

KVS, I've found that any time a particular topic is not interesting to me, that if I just don't read it, it doesn't bother me a bit. Synthzone has always had a family atmosphere and a lot of us enjoy discussing non-arranger topics. In this case, this topic is relative because we do use our vehicles for transporting gear and both capacity and fuel economy are interesting to me. There are quite often topics that, when I see the title, I skip. Examples are software synth topics, New Age or Hip-hop songs, instrument definitions, and the recent personality conflicts. However it doesn't bother me if others do read and appreciate them. Over the years I've been able to greatly reduce the size of my working vehicle because of the constant development of smaller, ligher and better musical gear. Maybe I'll go check out one of those box-looking Toyota things. DonM

Im glad i started this topic. i'm glad you're glad, and anyone else that's glad, i'm glad they are glad, too. and I'd like to add a positive note and recommend Edmunds.com as a great site for auto info and forums..check it out. and you know what? i'm sorry i didn't get in the spirit. So here's my contribution: My first car was a well-used 1949 Pontiac, slantback hydramatic my dad got me for H.S. graduation. I painted it electric blue, and added a Budweiser tap on the shifter! Next was a 1949 Plymouth..great 1st gear..then 1952 Plymouth convertible, 52 Merc.. are you getting bored yet? Well, i am,so I'll skip: 23 cars later, I now drive a 2001Mazda MPV. Flip up 3rd row seats...best part about that is with the 3rd seat up , it creates a "well" in the floor at the back where you can carry equipment with having to be concerned about it sliding around, and you can tilt the seatback all the way back to the hatch, so you get visual protection of your gear. then you can also remove one of the seats in the 2nd row..for more flexible storage, easy in/out thru sliding van doors..and loss of seat no big deal because you still have the 3rd row for seating if needed. Sorry i have no pic but it's Forest Green, pretty nice. Hey, is anybody out there, still reading this? sorry, have to log, off, time for my nap..zzzzz..... ------------------ Miami Mo

In all honestly, I actually would have loved to hear about your other 23 cars as well, including pics, as your car history sounds like an interesting history collection of classic automobiles. Though this is an arranger forum foremost, sharing these kinds of personal stories is what makes this forum extra special. Maybe you can fill us in about the rest of your cars, perhpas with pics, when you wake up from your nap. - Scott

I think maybe you are being tongue in cheek to match my tinge of sarcasm? But on the odd chance there are other people as weird as you lol that would be interested in all my past cars (sorry i have no pics) here's my best recollection: (if any strike your fancy to ask questions about, feel free.) I'm only doing this because they say mental gyrations can ward off Alzheimers--can't believe anyone would actually read it or care, which was the whole point of my critique.. 49 Pontiac, 49 Plymouth, 52 Plym conv, 52 Merc, 56 English Ford Zephyr semi-convertible, 62 Ply conv. 63 Corvair, 66 Olds, 68 Buick skylark conv, 62 Jaguar 3.8S, 64 Volvo 164, 69 Mercury Montego, 69 Toyota Corona, 73 Mazda Rx-2 Rotary, 74 Nissan Stanza wagon, 79 Ford LTD, 79 Chevy Caprice, 89 Dodge Raider suv, 91 Nissan Stanza, 92 Chevy Lumina, 94 Chevy Blazer suv, 94 Infiniti j30, 95 Olds "98", 2000 Toyota Avalon, 2001 Mazda mpv minivan. Gee, that's 25, maybe I forgot 1 or 2. All were bought used except 6. any questions? was this as good for you as it was fo me? do you want to have a smoke after this? are you ready for your naps now? ------------------ Miami Mo

Don...the little Toyota "box thingie" is really worth checking out. I get two keyboards, 2 12" cabinets, two guitars, pa head, mike stand, two guitar stands, hotspot monitor, keyboard stand and associated bags of cords, etc. in back and still have both front seats available. six footers have no problerm in the front or back and three people have plenty of room inthe back. Not much power, but lots of fun and the perfect "gig rig", according to Guitar Player magazine. Out the door, it was $16,000.00, with cruise, automatic and a few othr extras.
Best I can imagine for transporting people and equipment. We're getting a 2nd one for the office.
