DonM,
we are really in agreement. as i said earlier, if it deals
with recommendations for good gear hauling vehicles and setups, etc..as some here are doing, great...that's why i'm on this thread and not just ignoring it..but just to hear what kind of car someone drives? and to want to tell everyone what you drive..that's what--sociability? ok, whatever...but isn't that why the have a category called 'the bar"?????

I love driving a Ferrari, but I get bored really fast, so I have a car for every day of the month... here is a partial view of my collection...

i'm glad you're glad, and anyone else that's glad, i'm glad
they are glad, too. and I'd like to add a positive note and
recommend Edmunds.com as a great site for auto info
and forums..check it out. and you know what? i'm sorry i
didn't get in the spirit. So here's my contribution:
My first car was a well-used 1949 Pontiac, slantback hydramatic my dad got me for H.S. graduation. I painted
it electric blue, and added a Budweiser tap on the shifter!
Next was a 1949 Plymouth..great 1st gear..then
1952 Plymouth convertible, 52 Merc.. are you getting
bored yet? Well, i am,so I'll skip: 23 cars later, I now drive a 2001Mazda MPV. Flip up 3rd row seats...best part about that is with the 3rd seat up , it creates a "well" in the floor at the back where you can carry equipment with having to be concerned about it sliding around, and you can tilt the
seatback all the way back to the hatch, so you get visual
protection of your gear. then you can also remove one of the seats in the 2nd row..for more flexible storage, easy
in/out thru sliding van doors..and loss of seat no big deal
because you still have the 3rd row for seating if needed.
Sorry i have no pic but it's Forest Green, pretty nice. Hey,
is anybody out there, still reading this? sorry, have to log,
off, time for my nap..zzzzz.....

Certainly NOT me! In all honestly, I actually would have loved to hear about your other 23 cars as well, including pics, as your car history sounds like an interesting history collection of classic automobiles. Though this is an arranger forum foremost, sharing these kinds of personal stories is what makes this forum extra special. Maybe you can fill us in about the rest of your cars, perhpas with pics, when you wake up from your nap. - Scott

Well, Scott, if you consider my cars classics I'll be wishing
I had kept them! I think maybe you are being tongue in
cheek to match my tinge of sarcasm? But on the odd chance there are other people as weird as you lol that would be interested in all my past cars (sorry i have no pics) here's my best recollection: (if any strike your fancy
to ask questions about, feel free.) I'm only doing this because they say mental gyrations can ward off Alzheimers--can't believe anyone would actually read it
or care, which was the whole point of my critique..

49 Pontiac, 49 Plymouth, 52 Plym conv, 52 Merc,
56 English Ford Zephyr semi-convertible, 62 Ply conv.
63 Corvair, 66 Olds, 68 Buick skylark conv, 62 Jaguar 3.8S, 64 Volvo 164, 69 Mercury Montego, 69 Toyota Corona, 73 Mazda Rx-2 Rotary, 74 Nissan Stanza wagon, 79 Ford LTD, 79 Chevy Caprice, 89 Dodge Raider suv,
91 Nissan Stanza, 92 Chevy Lumina, 94 Chevy Blazer suv,
94 Infiniti j30, 95 Olds "98", 2000 Toyota Avalon, 2001

All were bought used except 6. any questions? was this as good for you as it was fo me? do you want to have a smoke after this? are you ready for your naps now?
