Wow, worked. Thanks, MrEd. My wife snapped this guy in a park pond about a mile from our house. There were at least 5 others visible at the same time (mating season). Pretty exciting living here in Florida after living in a place where the only thing that could harm you was....uhhh molten lava (Big Island of Hawaii).

Keysvocalsax,
you are right, but without some off topic posts, the Zone would be much more boring.

I own a Hyndai Accent, (the Casio of the car world ) and I usually beg/steal/borrow a ride of ANYTHING I can get my hands on that can be described as a vehicle, be it cheap or expensive.

Aside from various cars, I had the pleasure to drive around in a M113 Armored Personnel Carrier for one month: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M113

A baby like this can get you and your band members EVERYWHERE

Next goal, to drive my father-in-law's Scania 18 wheeler!!!

Yours in driving addiction,
Theodore

1) Put your pictures in a webspace. If you have a google account (free; if you don't have one, I'll send you an invitation), you can use googlepages ( http://www.googlepages.com/ ). Or simply send me the pics; I'll put them online and will send you the link.

2) Put a link in your SZ message to your pic. Something like this:

I used to drive a Scania cabover 18 wheeler hauling garbage to a landfill.
What a sweet ride Quiet and comfortable smooth ride like a Rolls Royce of trucks.
I live in New York State and the county bought about 10 of these to add to the fleet.
Didn't work out because the dealer didn't stock many parts and every little thing turned into a major job.

I own a 2001 Kia Optima LX which now has 104,000 miles. It is the same as the 2001 Hyundai Sonata, but with a different trim.

My keyboard, 2 MS100 speakers, keyboard stand, and luggage carrier fit in the trunk with little room to spare. No space for a spare keyboard.

I got remote entry and remote start aftermarket as well as cruise control. One thing I really love in the car is satelite radio.

No, posts on the topic are interesting because that's why
we are here, to discuss kb's and the music biz. Reading
about what car everyone drives is boring..except to the ones who get off on telling everyone what car they drive.

KVS, I've found that any time a particular topic is not interesting to me, that if I just don't read it, it doesn't bother me a bit.
Synthzone has always had a family atmosphere and a lot of us enjoy discussing non-arranger topics. In this case, this topic is relative because we do use our vehicles for transporting gear and both capacity and fuel economy are interesting to me.
There are quite often topics that, when I see the title, I skip. Examples are software synth topics, New Age or Hip-hop songs, instrument definitions, and the recent personality conflicts. However it doesn't bother me if others do read and appreciate them.
Over the years I've been able to greatly reduce the size of my working vehicle because of the constant development of smaller, ligher and better musical gear.
Maybe I'll go check out one of those box-looking Toyota things.
