I agree it takes some time to reach a good result with a converted style. I am using EMC styleconvert and after that I have to edit and to tweak with all the facilities of my G70 about one or two hours.
Depends of the style, some of them are good after less than half an houre.
Taking out wrong notes , wrong chords, wrong druminstruments, or changing them or exchange them, deleting what is not good and more.
Using the velocityswitch, very much can be done in the Micro-edit of the G70.
It is right that not all the levels of the supersounds of the Tyros can be played on the G70 but many of the G70 sounds do have a velocityswitch and they can be used.
Sometimes it is better to exchange the sounds for a better result. Using the effects can do a lot on the G70 and on the E80 even more. The E80 will have a EQ for every styletrack which the G70 does not have.
This is why I stay to my statement you can have a very good style by using all the facilities of your keyboard after converting a style.
Most of the keyboards, it does not matter from which factory. But they are all a bit different.

Wis since the G70's own styles are pretty poor I've come to the conclusion that it has to rely on converted Tyros 2 styles in order to provide good rhythms to it's users
Maybe the E80 will contain all of the internal T2 styles converted lmao

I could also mention that the Tyros 2 plays back all of the G70 styles possibly better than the G70 itself since you can replace sounds for the SA ones, but then that would be another story and this thread is already getting long winded.

With a G70 you can have the best of both worlds. Tyrosstyles and G70-styles.
With the E80 the same.

Craig, I think the G70 styles are great..I use 50-60 of them converted to the G1000..as my go to styles..

I know several people that say the same thing..G70 styles converted to the Yamaha PSR 3000..

It is good to see that some Keyboard users decided to get more out of their instruments by using more of the facilities for editing and tweaking. I got mail from different keyboardplayers with that kind of message. Good luck to you all when trying this.
