Hello All,
Ketron put pretty much effort in implementing the SYRCR (Scott Yee Rootless Chord Recognition )
Now, since Scott made the switch to a Yammie, they have more time to fix OS-problems, implement user wishes and/or major improvements in the great SD1.... ;-)

This week I got an email from Ketron Sandro in which he asks for user suggestions and recognized problems. So, please let me know what users want to be fixed. I intend to collect all items and forward them to Sandro.
(e.g. Noisy DSP's as Chorus and rotor)

Hello Roal,

I have been using SD1 for live gigs, and I am using it to its almost full capacity.
I use it very heavy as far as sampling goes and getting the most out of it. I just wish I could change pitch of my drum loops without affecting the tempo, and also the opposite, meaning if I change tempo the loop wouldn't change its pitch. This is possible now on Korg PA80 sampler.

Also please refer to one of my previous posts that I wrote a while ago that lists a number of problems and suggestions regaring the SD1. http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/002342.html

I really hope that you get my message across to Sandro and will hope that he implements these very essential changes to the upcoming upgrade. Thanks and good luck.

Hi!
Great thing to do, Roel!
I suggest, that every user puts one or two things as a priority, to help you and Ketron engineers to realize what is really important to fix.

Here is my list. First item is a priority.

1. This is my priority, a MUST in my opinion – there are delays after FILL's in some styles, caused by Autocrash sound (when this sound is not in the currently playing drum set, a program change makes this delay). This must be fixed – rhythm is the heart of any arranger, there can't be any delays.

2. I have another keyboard connected to SD1 on GM midi input (midi 1). This keyboard is set to send midi messages on channel 11. I disable channel 11 on SD1 (tx and rx OFF) because I don’t want this channel to sound on SD1. I start a midi file on SD1 and play keys on the other keyboard. Channel 11 on SD1 is now quiet, which is OK, but is seems some messages on this channel still somehow sneak into SD1 sequencer, because extensive playing on the other keyboard can cause hanging notes on some other channels of the midi file. How to really shut down a certain channel on SD1 in GM mode?
3. SD1 sometimes freezes in ARRANGE WIEW when I change sounds while arranger is running.
4. This is a wish – it would be useful to have an option to call up a vocal set (*.voc) from the hard disc with a registration on the name basis (as it is possible to call midi and text file on a name basis).
The same goes for PROGRAMS.

It’s a nice gesture from Ketron company to listen to customers this way!

Best regards.
Luka
