You remember we talked about getting your 'custom' EQ presets for your E80?

Have you had any opportunity to either screenshot those or just write them down to share? There is still considerable difference of opinion about the built-in speaker sound, why not post the settings you say are SO good, and find out if these solve the problem...?

George Kaye just did a mini E80 review, and he has issues (albeit small ones) with the speaker sound. Perhaps he could try your settings, and see if it makes a noticeable improvement?

The easiest way to get those to him would be to save your UPS, and email him the file. That will contain the Mastering Tools presets...

Let's clear this one up....

Hopefully, next week Donny and I will visit a SZoner that has an E80..maybe we can share some light on this difference of opinion..If it sounds great[or not], I will copy the UPS file to floppy..

Bebop claims that he has some 'custom' preset that a Roland guy set up, and says his sounds fantastic, so unless you ARE visiting Bebop, that won't answer THIS one....

But we'll be glad to hear your review...

Dikki,
I have just returned from 10 a 10 days trip in the motorhome to the beach and I took the tyros 2 because I don't have a bag for the E 80 yet.
I have no idea how to get to the info you request, or how to get it into the computer. This board was set up by Travis, the district sales manager for roland. Maybe you can send an e through Roland to him to get the info.
Maybe I will be able to get it later on.
Bebop
PS. I see George Kaye is going to handle the line in the Los Angeles area so Travis is his Roland contact. Perhaps George will come up with this info as he now has a couple of E 80's in stock if anyone in the area is interested.

Bebop,
Travis will be at my store on June 18. He lives in Las Vegas and only comes down to LA once in a while. We will be spending at least 4 or 5 hours exploring the E80.

Bebop, there are detailed instructions about how to backup your memory to a computer over at Roland-arranger.com. You REALLY should back up your E80's memory ASAP, anyway (you do an accidental reset, or load another UPS into it, and those settings will be GONE... poof!).

First save the UPS you have now (manual explains that) then backup to computer with USB, and then email George the UPS file. OK?

Thanks...

However, Bebop, you posted that your E80 has a 'custom' preset that a Roland specialist put in himself. It's easy to check... The EQ section will be set to 'User' rather than one of the presets if this is true...

If not, they were jiving you, and just have it set to a factory preset, but possibly a different one to how it comes OOTB....
