I have an ESQ-1 that can no longer hold pitch, and all the patches now play only monophonically. If I go into the system to set the pitch or the amount of change in the pitch mod wheel, the numbers just jump randomly. I called the only repair center listed for the US (in LA?), and the person there said it sounded like the controller chip had gone bad. He said he couldn't repair it, because he could not get parts. Do I now own a large doorstop, or do I have any hope of bringing this instrument back from the dead. Thanks.

have you tried a factory reset and initializing the filters ?? and have you had to replace the battery ??
