I was reading all this stuff on VA-7 and it seems to me that this keyboard is more suitable for a home studio rather that for on stage performance. Also I was always surprised about everyone who post messages here on va-7 about styles that it comes with. Rn't u all suppose to create your own style? If that's not important to you than this question to those who like to create their own styles: how does it work on va-7 compare to g-1000 in terms of flexibility, easy to create/use, etc. Also I have a question on arppegiator: does va-7 has one?

Sampler?? You have got Variphrase!!!! That means you can play voices over the keyboard, playing chords etc. This is the specialty about the VA-7. That has never been shown before.

And yes, the Roland VA-7 is more suitable for home use. There is a simple reason for that: Roland has the G-1000 for Stage use. Otherwise they would be concurring themselves. SO buy the G-1000 for Live Performance and use the VA-7 for home (cause it has speakers).

So how does the VA-7 compare to the Triton by Korg. Also does it do sampling besides the variphrase voice thing?

Compare with what? You cannot compare Variphrase to anything and certainly not with Triton!! You can sample a voice on a triton but you CANNOT play on it like you can play an organ! With the Roland you can sample a sentence, eg "could you be loved" and then you can PLAY that sentence over the whole keyboard, with the voice keeping the same pitch! So the length of the sentence will remain, except you hear as if a real orchestra is singin "could you beloved" in different chords (in C or F etc).

You cannot believe this untill you hear it. Try to let someone demonstrate you this aspect.

hi to you all.....

dont make any decision until you play and
try the va-7 !!!!!

theres many things that pepole saying against the va-7 ... that it realy
UNTRUE !!!!!!!!! (exmp stop/start samples
etc....)

the va-7 is best for eveyone on stage
or at home
like the g-1000 is for stage or at home
one man like yamaha the other solton etc....

its all about the way you operate your
keybords ...and its the same on computers...
(unix,nt,as-400,mf.......)

so from what i checked and test this new va-7
keyboards

there never was so good keyboards ever !!!!!

the SOUNDS are real !!!!!!!!!!!
the DRUMES are real !!!!!!!!!
the SAMPLES are real !!!!!!!!!!
EASY TO OPERATE !!!!!!!!!!!

like Ilija said.....

"...You cannot believe this untill you hear it. "

try it and than decide if its good for you
or not.....

so.. youre saying that if a keybords
has speakers its a home keybords...

.... solton has speakers....

g-1000 has not ...(isnt it heavy allredy?)

for many of us speakers are very good
i needed those on the g-1000 i had

variphrase is revolution !!!!!!!!!
like the midi was !!!!!!!!!!

and i will keep saying it all over again....

http://www.rolandus.com/../USERS/RUG/Winter_00/UT-variphrase.html
