I thought it would be a good idea to put this thread up for those that want to make their board sound better. Dave is such a nice guy , when i had my psr2000 he sent me the files for free, but said they were tuned for the 9000, they may work they may not, they didn,t, many people buy boards on the sounds out of the box, then they hear about adjusting the EQ,s and getting better sounding quality , so to save you loads of dough you can (possibly?)(with Daves registrations) make your tyros 1 sound as good as the 2 with the proper adjustments ,This also applies with other boards (yammies) if you have other make of boards it may be worth your while to ask if he tunes other boards .anyway check out his site there is a lot there, mike http://www.geocities.com/pipelinerr/A_REGS6.html

Yes, Dave's registration guide is a terrific piece of work useful to various Yamaha board users. He has done a great service to all. I certainly can understand why he decided not to keep working on this "free" -- he has already donated countless hours to the task. I use his older registrations guide on my PSR9000, and these mods have kept me from feeling like I need a newer, mosre costly keyboard.

Spoke to dave the site was overloaded due to too many people at the same time on his site and his bandwidth was reduced, even if you want to learn about your own yammie he gives you lots of tips, mike

I bought the discs which Dave did for the 9000 a while ago and can recommend them .
They make you realise what can be achieved with the Yamaha boards if you take the time to search out and use all the possibilities.
Dave opened up a new era for me by willing me to use the board fully.
cheers
Eddie
