I was wondering if someone can tell me how many arpeggiator presets does the E6400 ultra sampler come with. Are they anything to bost about?
I am going to sell my fully loaded Triton for the E6400 Ultra but I am having a hard time trying to part with it, so can someone please help put the EMU sampler in a better light!

If you use your Triton arpeggiators, you are going to HATE Emu arp. It is VERY simplistic...speed; 1, 2, 3 octaves; up, down, up and down, and random. Those are your options. There is no sequencer like programming to it.

Hi Larry,

You may be able to get the best of both worlds though. I'm not sure about the new Triton rack but if it has an arpeggiator on it, you may be able to sell the Triton, get a Triton rack and an E-mu E5000 Ultra. That'll get you an E-mu Ultra sampler if you won't miss the extra 4 outs of an E6400 or the capability to go to 128-note polyphony.

Before moving this way, check that the Triton rack has an arpeggiator.

HTH,
Fernando
