I could probably afford a PSR1500, but the PSR3K has 36 more voices. Arrrr.

Rikki, I made a point of listening to the Vocaloid software knowing you were interested in hearing about it. It really is very impressive. NAAM really isn't the best place to judge sound quality without headphones due the the general noise as you would expect. But what I heard from Vocaloid was very impressive. Most of the demos they played were of a real vocal track with Vocaloid singing the synthetic backing harmonies but they did have a couple of demos that were done entirely with Vocaloid and they still sounded good. While I'm sure with headphones you would be able to pick that a solo Vocaloid vocal track was synthetic, mixing it in with other vocal tracks was very convincing. Application of vibrato and volume effects on the vocals also seemed to be very easy. Software is certainly getting a lot better.

What a sad state of affairs....
New arranger Kb's that cost $3000-$5000+ and the general populus scoffs at them?...what the F@##*&%$ ?

Thank you Nigel.
It appears that it is going to be available here in Aust, so hopefully I may get to check it out before I buy.
I can't sing a note, so any type of vocal will help, even if it sounds a bit synthetic.
Really only planning on maybe making audio loops, for the variphrase sampler in the va7 and for the kn7 sd card.
If it can do a complete song, then better still.

Just wondering if you heard all 3, thought I might start with Leon, unless the 2 girls were more realistic.

Anyway, thank you so much for checking them
out, I've really been looking forward to their release, ever since reading about them a few months back.

best wishes
