Eric: Thanks for finding/posting this.

If I didn't know how good Voncken was I would think it was pretty cheesy. However, heard some SA voices and saw some new rhythms. Don't know if it will make any PSR-3000 or T2 owners jump for it but it will probably depress the price on those units.

Thanks to you Chris, the name is not familiar to me but the melody is haunting. I probably never knew the name but I found several nice examples on limewire.
Thanks again Chris
and thanks to Eric for finding this great clip, I wish there were more I hope he does a demo in english.

Eric thanx for the effort you da man !

I still am waiting to hear what the differences or improvements are between the 3k & S900 aside from the SA voices?

Great Stuff!!

Thanks for the find Eric - that has just made my day Great new styles, and to finally hear some of the S900's SA voices in action was a real treat.

It's looking great and I'm sure the new S-Series will be a great success for Yamaha

King... imagine how good your PSR would be if it had SA voices and the new mega voices... now stop winging about extra features and send yamaha an order for your new S900!!

Congratulations Eric, this is easily the best PSR-S900 find yet I think it sounds really great, but Michel Voncken would probably sound great on any keyboard

Kind regards,
Tommy

Nick...buying one is Not a problem for me...I had a Tyros 1 & 2 and sold them both...I am not impressed with the SA voices .....the 3k mega voices & sweet voices are more then good enough at this time believe me...if the S900 has a better vocalizer, & better navigational on deck features I will then take a serious look at one...otherwise no big deal...I can wait for the next Yamaha Wave of units next year.

Nice demo Eric thanks for sharing.

For the price it's a great keyboard, but I agree with Donny about the SA sounds. The guitars and sax are great but you can get by without using these. Personally I prefer the sampled T2 voices that PEMO (Orgel Studio) make, far better than any of the SA ones

It's being advertised for as little as £1080 here in the UK and you may be able to get them down to £1000.

Current conversion rate to $ is roughly $2000 give or take a little.
It's about half the price of a T2 here

Voncken is a very good player. Very inspiring. That Sultan's of Swing style already exists on the PSR3000. I heard another style that I have already - I think it was some George Benson song - from the Tyros II styles that I have.

All in all, pretty impressive, but not mind boggling. I really enjoyed hearing him play.

When I purchased the PSR3000, my clients heard the difference, and many mentioned it to me - that I sounded better.

Do you think that they will this time around? Or will it be more subliminal?

Eric,

Thanks for sharing that demo with us. It is very impressive. I also enjoyed his tune selection. It made me think that I could do those tunes too.
