Anyone here uses one of these? Les Paul seemed to like them.

At my age, I'm looking for one with a built-in bedpan.

I think I'll get that retro-fit seat and attach it to my bike! Remember when bikes had real seats?

That explains all those young chicks in the audience waving baby wipies at you, Chas.

After two years gigging with the Tama Ht741 my crotch spread increased 4 inches!
I now use a custom made high density foam bench seat & I dont feel like I'm riding in an English saddle anymore.

Remember when your butt would fit on one?

I think for 88 and 76 note players, there's a reason why pianos have benches, not stools....

You need to be able to move laterally for two hand passages at the extremes of the keyboard. I never feel comfortable on a drum throne type seat that rotates, but I can't budge sideways. It makes you put your arms and wrists at some uncomfortable angles...

(Disclaimer... Not all people may share this view, there's no problem if you are comfortable using drum thrones, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, your mileage may vary.... OK?)

A Piano has a Stool.
An Organ has a Bench.
If youre ever in a Music School, Academy etc, then please remember the above, otherwise the Tutors tend to get upset, and if you are a Student, then you are informed of your error in no uncertain terms.
Personally you can call it whatever suits, but I just thought I would mention it.
Here is a link for those who like plenty of padding http://www.chamberlainmusic.com/productdetail.asp?ProductID=KDT5505
Enjoy whatever youre seated on

http://www.pianobench.com/ Seems that opinions vary..

Whatever you want to call it, it isn't a drum throne.. It doesn't rotate, and you can slide up or down on it...

Enjoy whatever you call it...
