I look for a good arranger. I've seen a lot of good feedback about Korg PA-50 and being affordable enough even for me I thouhght of buying it.

Before making the decision I should also knof if there's other options than that.

Yamahas are rather expensive here in Finland. For example PSR-1500 costs about 1200 euros (1500$) and at cheapest ordering from Germany 1099 euros. (1370$) Of course there is offers from returned products for example but they doesn't lower the price enough for me.

But is PSR-1500 even as good as PA-50? Are there any other models I should consider. And remember, my budget remains quite strictly in that 1000$ 750-850 euros. There is one returned PSR-1500 for 955 euros + shipping 20€. But buying that would make me poor so I'd prefer the Korg because of the price.

I thank you all beforehand for your help

Oh, I almost forgot, I'd use it mostly for entertaining myself (and my family) at home. Probably some usage with a singer and maybe a guitar. Arranger functions are important as well as the sounds.

NO.

PSR 1500 easier to use but sound wise PA 50 is way ahead.
exr 7 (less functions, more keys, not that great overall sounds).

if you can spend more go for psr 3000.(for VH and other features, etc).

but for less than 1400$ -PA 50 .

I really think PA-50 is under priced.(it should cost atleast 1400$ for overall quality, sounds, functions(except fot FD).

read this.this will answer your questions. http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/009293.html

I agree 100% with jamman.....I perform with the PSR 3000 and the PA60....great combination.....and at the store where I work, I have the PA 50...and if you compare it next to the PSR 1500....the PA50 has the edge by far.

Thank you guys for your encouraging words. You saved me from many days, even weeks of thinking it through over and over again or at least made it easier to make the decision.(Unless you are some disguised Korg engineers ) sorry, just kidding... I'm not the quickest to make this kind of which one to buy -decisions. I think I will buy the Korg if I'll buy something if nothing drastic comes out in the next couple of weeks. The importer didn't have them now, it'll take two weeks until they have them again. I will just have to wait...

If somebody has something to say for PSR, feel free to inform me, I always appreciate extra info.

And one more question (before the next ones ) PA 50 has a HI synthesis sound engine, doesn't it? It's the same found on Triton series. Does it then have the same sound quality that is in the Triton? It looks like it could be a Triton LE with lesser workstation and synth functions and added arranger functions and speakers.

yes it has same triton board.(more efx than LE ,less efx than standard and studio.but the sound board is the same.it can also load triton programs.
(ofcourse minus combi patches).
check them out from irish acts.

th only complaint for PA-50 is the keys(for some)(1500,and 3 k has more predictable feel)and FD instead of USB to device and SM card input in 1500 and 3k(a major versatility in those yams-combined with their 3rd party styles).

Hasko,
When it's available,go check out the Casio WK-3200

Word has it that this is the BEST sounding Casio to date and you will save a ton of money to boot-

When we get the 3200 into Sams sometime in the next few weeks,it shouldn't cost much more than $300 US.

Casios website(US) says $349...

Good Luck!
