Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a 'standard' height or distance from floor level to the keybed on an acoustic piano?

I am building a new office/desk area which will house my keyboards (weighted piano controller and 9000pro) and computer. Ideally I would like the height of the weighted controller to be as close as possible to the height of a real (acoustic) piano.

There is always the option of going to a piano store with a tape measure, but I thought I would ask the learned knowledge base first.

Kind regards,
Mark

Thanks Dennis. That just saved me a trip to the piano store.

Kind regards,

Interesting.
I have always thought that the stand on which I have my Yamaha PSR9000 is too high, even though it is set at its lowest extension.
It is 27 inches to the top of the rest and therefore 31 inches to the top of the white keys.
Do you all sit this high.? For me it is not comfortable, I only have short legs which do not reach the floor when I am playing so I rest my right foot on the swell pedal.

cheers

I went and measured (with a tape measure) the distance between the floor to the top of the white keys on my Steinway B Grand Piano (shown above), and it's 28.75 inches.

I presently have a fixed-height QuikLok Z-stand that is 26 3/4" tall, making it 29 1/2" from floor to keys of my Tyros2. My adjustable padded bench height is set at 22 1/2" (when not compressed by my weight), resulting in a comfortable playing position for me.
