That's right. I wasn't going to post anything till tomorrow. He will be delivering to my home tonight. Right up until 1 hr before the close, I thought I was going to have it for $620.00, but it went up in the last hour. I hope it wsn't the seller jacking the price up. There was only 1 competitor.
I want to thank you Trident for posting this sale and Squeak for showing me Trident's post. I am the owner of a PSR1500, but it is not in my possesion yet.
A new PSR1500 with all the taxes would retail for $1725.00. To get it for $960.99 is a great deal. I'm thinking of keeping the PSR550 and selling the Roland EM20.

You bet. Well the sweet soprano sax is just awesome, it sounds like KenneyG, when I play that voice I feel like crying. Doh! I haven't received it yet.

Man, I'm totally with you on the Sweet Saprano Sax. It truly is a beautiful sound. Yamaha had that one dead on. It really does sound just like Kenny G. I wonder if the sweet saprano was on the PSR-740--can't remember.

I am glad it finally seems to be working out ok, Starkeeper. Don't show the guy the comments we made during the auction.
But, I wanna get paid . Your review would be sufficient.
Hope you enjoy your new keyboard.

Starkeeper,
Did you pay him yet, or is this a "pay" upon delivery deal?

It's a cash deal.
1) I want to open the unopened box
2) Pull out the keyboard
3) Give it a 30 second test.
If all is good. It's a done deal. He gets the cash and I get a PSR1500 at almost 1/2 price.

Hahaha. LOL. Trident you are consistent.
I gave the guy my tel # (he asked for it). He called me last night and said he would be over in 45 minutes... Never showed up!!! No email from him this morning either. I will give him one more chance. If he doesn't show up, the deal is off.

LOL Starkeeper, I am a salesman, what you expect me to be?

Honestly, I found it rather amusing that a Greek saw something at UK ebay, told an american message board, and then a guy in West Virginia posted a message for a Canadian to take notice.
It shows the good side of the internet.

As for the guy, his behaviour isn't the best of things, but he may have some things concerning him, or second thoughts, or whatever. My advice, since you would like to have the keyboard (if everything is ok with it), apply some pressure. Arrange a meeting in his house. Don't wait for him to call.

I hope it turns out ok, so I'll get my review!

PS did you actually meant "persistent"?
I wanted to know what happened, so what did I do? I applied a little pressure on you. It worked!!!!!

I don't know man... His actions are questionable to me. You won the auction and now he's dragging his feet on getting it to you. Sounds like a scam to me. Possibly he didn't anticipate someone who lives close to him taking high bid on the auction. I'm beginning to wonder if his intentions are honorable.

Dear Squeak;

One more thing to keep in mind. If you either make it to his house, or he comes to your house, make sure you check the serial number and call yamaha to verify who it was sold to. The reason I state this is that it may be a stolen piece. In which case if the transaction goes through, and police approach you they will take the keyboard, and you will lose your money. Also make sure you have someone with you when he either comes to your house or you go to his house(or he may suggest a meeting place). You don't want to be jumped by gooons who will abscond with your money.

Regards;
SCP

SCP, Squeak,
I thought of this too, but didn't want to comment on that, maybe too frightened to.
Anyway, If like I said, Starkeeper puts a little pressure, he'll probably get an answer sooner. Or if he gets NO answer, it is an answer all the same.

I like these conspiracy theories, we may go on talking like that for ever, and finally we realise the guy had the flu or something!.

Hahaha. LOL. and why would a guy living in Canada post on a UK site. I will take your advice, Trident, and send him an email. Got to keep this post alive.

Are you having 2nd thoughts about selling your keyboard? I waited two evenings for you and still no show. What gives? If you have changed your mind, let me know and I will not give you a negative feedback. If you have a brand new keyboard, in the box, why don't you bring it back to the store where it was purchased? They might give you back a full refund.

Starkeeper,

Sales Lesson No1: Insist (that you did, by sending the e-mail)

Sales Lesson No2: Give incentive.... (tell you are going to give bad feedback, so the other side has something to lose)

Sales Lesson No3: Follow up, either with the same or "higher yield" means of contact (telephone). ASK about what's going on, show interest.

Sales Tip No1: NEVER sympathise with the other side (You are there to get the keyb at this fantastic price, not hold hands. After you get it you can become close friends, or marry the guy, whatever you wish)

Let the above sink in, and REPEAT.
Results guaranteed.

ROFL, sorry about this rant but it is closing time at the office now, so I am still in "work" mode. I am not that sleazy in real life, believe me.

Hope you get the keyboard you deserve.
Theodore

Trident,
I sent him an email 3 days ago and he has not responded. I gave him a negative feedback (that must really hurt), and deposited my money back into my Visa account. I consider this issue dead.
I appreciate your efforts, none the less Trident.

I advise someone check to see if this jerk reposted the ad. If he did, report him to ebay. This guy is running a scam. He didn't think that someone very close to him in Canada would win the auction.

The joke seems to be that he accepted paypal too, not some dodgy wire service only.

Too bad it didn't work out Starkeeper, it was a lesson nonetheless.

I bought an Audiophile 2496 soundcard from a guy in Germany. He has enough positive feedback, was pretty quick in replying, and selling a bunch (6-8) of similar items. Now let's see if the card arrives

I bought a PC video card from a seller in Hong Kong with 97.8% positive feedback (200+ feedback reports).

And yes - the price was too good to be true.

Two hours after I'd paid him I got a nice email from eBay saying "We think the seller is scamming - please do everything you can to recover the money".

Doh!

But, in the end it was all legitimate and the seller was not scamming at all and I did receive the item.
