gratz on your new keyboard. It sounds really good, just to bad there is no 76 keys version (or even better 88key hammer action stagepiano version)

Somehow the terminology T2 reminds me of Korg

Hey thanks for the comments. I think of Terminator whenever I read or write T2. I guess thats OK. After all I did like the movies. By the way has anyone received their free USB/Lan adapter from Yamaha? Just wondering what your opinion of it was.

Thanks again.

I did get the USB adapter and it all works with my DSL connection (I did have to purchase a router).

I did it for the experience and to access the style files that are for sale.

The positive side: the ones I have purchased are very good; the negative side: 1) It is almost impossible to judge the quality from the demo, 2) There are too few styles, 3) The cost is much higher than most users expect. The ones I have are probably worth the price, but I would have downloaded many more (the process is a bit cumbersome, especially the first time; do not be too discouraged) if they were more reasonable.

Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

I was wondering if the adapter that Yamaha is giving away is wireless or wired?
At first I was thinking that it would be wireless. However, later I began to think that that it would probably be more than they wanted to give away. Let me know if you would.

Thanks,

Thanks Charles,

I really want to use a wireless adapter for my T2. Just a matter of convenience for me.

More than happy to meet up with you the next time your down in the Vancouver area.

Hi there.
I received the D-Link DWL-122 USB 2.4GHz wireless adaptor with my T2 but I'm in UK, so it looks like they are giving different models away depending where you live.
It works a treat and even though the demos of the premium styles on the IDC are way too short to offer an idea of how they sound, the ones I have downloaded are all superb.
Come on Yamaha we need more quality styles and far bigger demos of them if you want us all the purchase any more! Who cares what the intro sounds like, it's the 4 variations we need to hear in action before buying.

Hey Craig,

Thanks for info regarding the Adapter that Yamaha sent you. I guess I will have to wait until it arrives to see what they are sending out. I was going to just order up what I wanted, however if there is a chance of getting the wireless unit... I should wait. Don't want to wait. So I may order one up anyway. I imagine that it takes Yamaha a good while to get the item shipped out. In the mean time I would like to be connected.
Anyone have a timeline as to how long it took to receive your adapter after you registered your keyboard?

Thanks for all the input.

My adaptor came within the same week after I registered. I was very impressed.

Thanks Craig,

I certainly hope that Yamaha America is as quick as the UK. Not to mention I sure would be pleased to receive the wireless model. The wired one won't do me any good.

Thanks again.
