Hey, I've had a K2600 for a while now and I've been using headphones so far. But I want to get either an amp or some speakers that will be a good long term solution.

I'm basically clueless when it comes to amps/speakers... I know more wattage=more volume, but that's about it.

Could somebody please point me in the right direction for my needs:
-has to be loud enough to play small gigs with drums, electric bass, electric guitar
-also something I can just practice on quietly with good sound quality
-my budget is up to $1000

So pretty much--what are most people using to amp their keyboards?

ANY help would be appreciated.. as I said... I dont even really know what my options are right now..

Thank you.

The Logitech Z-5500 did an excellent job last night with an audience of 80 and everyone said the music sounded great. What amazed me is I had to actually cut back on the sub volume a bit, which I orriginally only set at 50 percent.

I used the Z2200 again last night. Small crowd, but excellent sound. Very portable.

I just added a BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer to my Z2200's ,behind my mixer, and the sound is even better. I used the rig for a Christmas party of 100 ,and had many favorable comments. My VL harmonizer was better also.
