Guys I've been dealin with music for more than 10 years now. Playin the guitar. But I'll never be a rock star. All I wanna do is write some music with my PC, add some guitar on it and play stuff with friends to entertain ourselves. I'm not experienced in PC music but I'm into all kinds. Can you recommend some software ppl? I am quite good at F-loops and rookie in Cakewalk. I have a Roland SC-33 (thanks to Uncle Dave) and a MIDI keyboard. PRE-THANX to everyone!

Acid Pro 3.0 is great if you only use audio loops/tracks. That works great together with Sound Forge.

It might be worth it to look into n-tracks. I am not sure if it has a midi sequencer tho.

I have n track. Good value for the dollar for audio work. It's very simple to use. It does the 24 / 96 thing . Syncs perfectly with any external midi source I link it to. It supports all the vst plug in effects you wanna put in it. It also does have a sequencer but I didn't care for it all that much so I don't use it very often. The sequencer is fine for playing midifiles and also syncing them with the audio tracks in N tracks but I've seen and used a lot better for editing. Even cakewalk's low end Express has a better sequencer. ( The two work well together though ).

TeKs' on the money , get Acid 3.0 does midi as well as the best/easiest loop stretching you'll ever use .If you're better on a 6 string than a keyboard this might be a bit up your street.
