My better half and I will be on Route 66 again the 5th of April visiting my son in Gallop NM. We will be in Vegas on the 9th and 10th.
If I had Don's money I'd be at the blackjack tables most of the time. Since I don't, I'd like to catch some musical acts.
Any must see's out there? Any arranger people playing in the lounges? Engleburt Humperdink will be there. Has anyone seen him? I've seen Wayne Newton. Blue Man group is there but I've heard mixed reviews about them. Any suggestions?
Donny, maybe you and U.D. could get booked into the Ceasars on those days. I'm sure your fame has spread that far.

Tom, Just come on through Louisiana. We'll eat some Crawfish and you can hear all the music you want. Five casinos and if that doesn't suit you, you can hear me! DonM

Tom, Look up a local named "Harve Mann". He's a good friend that transplanted from the Philly scene a few years ago. Tall, thin, has an Elvis thing goin' on ..... you can't miss him. Mention my name !

If I mention your name will he hit me?
Don, I'd love to get a golf lesson and a country music lesson from you in person, and I love crawfish but it is not in the cards this time. It will happen sometime. I would even consider catching some of those muddy tasting bass with you!

Tom, Assuming you mean the Las Vegas in Nevada as opposed to the one in New Mexico I strongly recommend you see Jimmy Hopper at the Bellagio. He is a wonderful entertainer, singer, and musician surrounded by great musicians. Great lounge show that I like better than the entertainment in the bigger and much more expensive venues. http://www.jimmyhopper.com/

Take a cab down to Fremont St. Experience downtown while you are there. The sky screen shows are well worth checking out and cost nothing. Plus the gambling and eating is a bit cheaper than it is on the Strip.
If you like percussive rock music and surreal entertainment then the Blue Man Group is a great show that I personally recommend. But if that is not your taste then pass on it. Each to his own.

Tom,
If you're driving, depending on where you're coming from and if you have to take I70 West, you'll pass within 2 city blocks of my place when you get about 10 miles west of Grand Junction Colorado. The town is Fruita. We're about 17 miles from the Utah border.
There are a couple of Chinese resturants and a Mexican resturant at the exit about 4 blocks from my place.
If you can stop for something to eat give me a call at 970 858 1313. I'd be very happy to meet you. If you're in a hurry, we can have coffee or just say hello. There's a visitor's center there also. Boo

I'm not prejudiced, I hate everybody!! Ha ha! My Sister-In-Law had this tee shirt. She was a riot!!!
There is a group from Buffalo, NY that is receiving rave reviews. - The Scinta's. The Rio is featuring them exclusively, in a lounge designed for them.
When they played in the casino bars, the owners would tell them to quit, because people were watching them instead of gambling. http://www.scinta.com/
They are very musically talented, and hilarious. I used to catch them in Buffalo whenever I could.
