Hi to all:

I just uploaded this 70's popular song, I know the real end, but this is the danceable performance, dancers do not like cuts of changes of rhythm in the songs...so, this is MY version of "Tie a yellow ribbon to the old oak tree", I hope you like it, I did use a User style the Party Swing and a little influence of Lenny Dee too.

Very nice recording as usual, loved the great organ sounds and the style fits perfectly.
Seemed to have a strong delay effect on with quite a bit of reverb though?

I may be wrong here but I think the song came out in 1973 by Tony Orlando and Dawn?
I know it got to no.1 in the UK and was a huge hit. I still love to play it, it's simple and effective, goes down very well.
I'm certain the song was based on a true story of a convict retuning from jail.

Hi Craig, the delay/reverb is the sound of Lenny Dee,who just recently pass on, he was very popular in the US in the 60's, and like Les Paul did in the electric guitar, he did use the delay and it was, per say, his trade, that's why I indicate it that was with a Lenny Dee influence, thank you for listening.

Hi there.
Thanks m8 for letting me know as I've never heard of Lenny Dee before so I know why you picked those effects settings

Nice job Manuel, very reminiscent of Lenny Dee for sure.

Beautiful version of a tune which is not very popular here in Italy. I loved the feel you gave it. The delay effect works well, but maybe works better with a short, percussive sound, like the xylophone you used towards the end. I can understand Craig's remark because, with a sound like the organ, it can "blur" some of the notes.
Great job, Manuel!

I am in the making on a CD, instrumental ballroom dance music (for seniors), I will post some other selections on various rhythm styles.
Thank you all for listening, I just check how many downloads, and I was very surprised, also I replaced the "Barquito" MP3 for one of higher resolution!.
