Hi, friends,
Playing PSR2000 yestarday, I notice something strange doing chords with the left hand: my hands not always found the suitable keys. I have played other keyboards, as well as pianos, and I never had that sensation. Then, I took a meter and measured the length of the PSR2000 keyboard (only all the keys, from first key to last one). Next I measured similar length on a Roland kb and a piano.

And... surprise! the keys of the Yamaha seem to be smaller, because the overall length of the PSR keyboard (only keys) was 2 cm. less than all others keyboards and piano.

I was surprised a lot, because I thought there is a standard size or measure for keys (except toys keys, of course). But now I don't know it, perhaps each manufacturer make the size that it wishes...

Is only Yamaha which make these smaller keys?
May these smaller Yamaha keys to have any influence on pianistic techniques?

Cheers

Hi Artaher,
I had the same experience and did not like this at all. My fingers made many mistakes on those kb's.
Yamaha is not the only one, I remember Farfisa and Viscount doing the same.
