Italy would have won 4-0 against germany had the 2 shots on target gone in. Both hit the bar. I really thought Germany would win but the Italians outclassed them this time.

Andrea! Congratulations to your Country Italy on your big win today! Recalling the fun time we spent together at the San Francisco North Beach Festival during your visit here a few years ago, San Francisco's North Beach district went WILD (yet again) to celebrate Italy's win today against Germany! Today, North Beach citizens felt both Italian & American (celebrating our July 4th, American Independence Day as well). - Scott

Congrats to Italy.
What was particularly good about this game against Germany was that the Referee refused to react to the silly antics which unfortunately are spoiling our beloved game.
The falling as if poleaxed and the dives make the game pure theatre and the sooner it is stamped out by the referees, the better for the game and all the spectators.
This was a wonderful game of football and thankfully it didn't go to penalties because Italy may have been cheated out of a deserved win.
I am now hoping that they take the Jules Rimet to Italy.
cheers
